Summer Sessions

During the summer we offer 9 weeks of illness specific summer sessions where the ill child, ages 7-15, attends for a week with other children battling the same medical challenge. Children make life long friendships and learn they are not alone.
Family Weekends
On Family Weekends the ill child attends Camp with his or her entire family. Parents facing similar challenges immediately bond with each other. Healthy siblings of children living with serious illness know all too well how a childhood medical condition impacts the entire family. These children have lost some of their childhood as well as parents are forced to focus their resources and emotional energy toward the ill child. These children will learn they are not alone. The weekend programs are designed for the entire family including parents’ night out and non-stop activity for the children.
Conferences, Seminars, Meetings, Retreats
Occasionally, medical groups and health associations related to our mission make effective utilization of the facility when Camp is not in session. The Camp offers a beautiful and peaceful setting for medical conferences and seminars. The professionals attending these conferences are critical to the Camp’s success recruiting campers and medical volunteers. To inquire about the fee structure for using our facility for a medical conference, email our medical director, Tracey Gaslin at gaslin@courageouskids.org or call 270 618-2912.
