The Center for Courageous Kids is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation dedicated to uplifting children living with chronic or life threatening illnesses. A stellar medical camping facility, we are designed specifically for the child with medical challenges and his/her family members, at no cost to them. Located in Scottsville, KY our program serves children from ALL across the region (KY, TN, IN, and beyond)! We focus on 2 unique and uplifting camping experiences: During the school year, we offer family weekends (wherein the entire family can attend) and in the summer months, we host week-long sessions (devoted specifically to the ill child). A year-round high caliber medical camp devoted to the bravest kids we know...and their magnificent families.

Our mission is to uplift children who have life-threatening illnesses by creating experiences year round that are memorable, exciting, fun, build self-esteem, are physically safe, and medically sound.

A world class medical camping facility in the rolling hills of Scottsville, Kentucky providing a cost-free, safe, and fun camping experience for seriously ill and disabled children and their families.
Our Founder
The Center for Courageous Kids in Scottsville, KY (formerly referred to as "Camp Courageous") is the dream of its Founder, Elizabeth Turner Campbell. Having lost a beloved son to cancer she is passionately committed to bringing The Center for Courageous Kids to her hometown of Scottsville. This is a unique year-round camp for children with medical challenges (and their families), who cannot attend traditional camps.
Her commitment to children extends well beyond Kentucky and Tennessee. Mrs. Campbell is also a Founder of Camp Boggy Creek in Florida. Click on "Our Founder" on the upper right side of your screen for her personal message.
